March 1 has come and gone, my two carbureted bikes haven't been started for a month.I drove the 75 red wing first. Turned on gas, waited five minutes, she fired up after a couple tries and drove very well.
Same thing with the FJ 1100. Then the new family member, my 03 ST 1300. Good heavens, it's just
like driving a new car. Way different. Other than being really tall, was on toes at stops. What a great day!
Summer can't come soon enough! Already pushed the wing in garage.

Re: Rode all three
Sounds like a fun day! Aside from the carbs, how does the FJ compare to the ST?

Re: Rode all three
They compare in power. The FJ feels stronger, probably isn't. It's feels 100 pounds lighter, I can flat foot the bike. It's loud, and the fairing rattles on bumps. Turns quicker but has no suspension or brakes compared to the ST. It's an old fashioned warp speed runner, The ST is a relaxing, super fast, quiet wonderful handling, braking, wind protected machine. At my age I can't imagine a better bike, plus it has tunes! If I was 20 again I would probably only ride the FJ.

It isn't... It was 70 degrees yesterday and now it is 30 degrees today. Who knows what season we are in!robin1731 wrote:It's not even spring yet.Gowing wrote:March 1 has come and gone, my two carbureted bikes haven't been started for a month.I drove the 75 red wing first.
