With the bag of weed in the bottom of the picture, you could just forget your bike is broken down! :)

Ya hey WF, I might make a suggestion... for a flash light I take one of those LED headlamps. The batteries seldom go down, they are very bright, and they free your hands to work or walk. They also weigh and pack very little.

Wow, thats a lot of stuff! Can we make this a sticky of some kind. I think it would be handy to a lot of people in the future. I didn't watch the video, just looking at the pics. I would add zip ties and duct tape. THANKS WF!

Gents;
I have the Aspencade tool kit that came with my bike in its nice leather tool roll, a set of allen keys, and a small LED flashlight. For a trip like that I would toss in a tire patch kit too, perhaps a spare headlamp bulb.

I saw this on Ironbutt and I thought it looked like a heck of a list:

The tool kit in most motorcycles are at best junk. Use the tool kit as a guide and purchase quality replacement tools from Snap-On or Sears' Craftsman. Also add a compact digital voltmeter (Radio Shack sells a pocket model for less than $20) and a ratchet and socket set.

In May of 1997, the late, great Ron Major published to the LD Riders list what is undoubtedly the most comprehensive tool listing ever devised:

ALL:
