Hi all ,I have my wing in the shop aand have a problem,with the A/R.ie the f12561king thing does not seem tobe working,could some expert please explaaine the workings ofthe advance and retard on the 1975 wing.The problem seems to have been there for a long time and I recall the bike running rough on my test ride .everything has been checked ,,like caarbs,points ,new belts.the garage seem to think its the A/R,and its somehow connected to the rev counter,I can find no info,any help much appreciated.

if you are referring to the 1000, the advance unit is behind the points plat, and is mechanical. could be sticking. or the springs could be weak. take it off, lube it , and ck the springs for return action
