I'm finally up against an immovable obstacle with the rig.

I can't get the plexiglass/Perspex windows back in their holes!

It's reasonably simple with old fashioned glass windscreens in a steel shell, you just fit the one piece rubber on the screen, fit a string in the outer groove, offer the screen/seal up to the hole and someone inside the car pulls the string so the lip comes over the rim of the aperture.

It's not that easy with a GRP door and a perspex screen, so I think I'm going to ring the sidecar manufacturer, an hour and a half from here, and see what they say.With luck they have a real craftsman there......

It wouldn't be fun if everything was easy.

Easy = cheap
Hard = expensive
It's just something I've picked up along the way.

(Speaking of expensive - Did your buddy get his new Godet-Vincent?)

Wait a minute Hal, I see you have the super-dooper shelter sides with the explosion-damping vents. It shouldn't actually blow-up anymore.
(I considered those but they make the engine sound strained.)

Mine are the special sound damped version. They will have a foam-strip seal on the inside, and will close tight to GRP shaped three sided 'funnels' which connect to the modified airbox with 50mm flexi tubes. I've modded the airbox, and made the funnels, but not yet made the fixing brackets.

There shouldn't be any extra engine noise. :idea:

Great news! I rang Héchard today and they say no prob, bring the rig in, they can fit the windscreen anb door window and show me the trick of how to fit the nose 'window' so I can do it when I'm ready. I still need to fit the internal panels and valve, plus the oil cooler rad and pipes.
